We recognize a significant gap in government support for youth-focused initiatives, leaving many young people without the guidance and mentorship they need to thrive. The closure of youth clubs and community centers has exacerbated this issue, depriving young people of safe spaces for connection and personal development. This lack of support contributes to the rise in gang activity and violence. At Safehaven Initiative, we aim to address this gap by creating an environment where young people are empowered through mentorship, peer engagement, and opportunities for positive, constructive interaction.
